The Crossfire Hose Winder was invented to fix a specific problem, getting your hose packs back in service while out of district, but the Crossfire Hose Winder has also proven essential in training. Both the Crossfire Winder for wildland hose and the Crossfire Winder for structure hose get your troops off their knees and greatly reduces the time spent building packs. For this reason, departments using the Crossfire Hose Winder on their training grounds have minimized the down time between evolutions. Your new recruits and line personnel spend more of their time learning and perfecting the skills needed on the fire scene.
CROSSFIRE HOSE WINDER FOR WILDLAND HOSE
This winder was built for 1” and 1-1/2” hose. Its main purpose is to make progressive hose packs in the style of the Ganzer/Gnass/Cleveland Pack. It is sized on a 4’ fold or flip but will also make a 3’ fold or flip for 1” hose. Although made mainly for progressive packs, it also rolls straight or donut rolls quickly and easily.
The winder comes in a zippered nylon bag with a crank handle, guide arm, and hitch mount. The dimensions of the Crossfire winder in the bag are 6” X 8” X 48” for easy storage.
CROSSFIRE HOSE WINDER FOR STRUCTURE HOSE
Just like the basic Crossfire Winder but made for 1-3/4” attack hose. It will make the Cleveland or Roundabout style hose pack quickly and easily. This hose roller is based on a 4’ “flip” or fold.
